DeAnna was great! As a more experienced student I thought it might be challenging to find an instructor that could teach me things.  I was wrong, DeAnna is perfect!

Although I stopped my piano lessons a while ago due to some personal issue, I really enjoyed my learning process with DeAnna.  She organized her lessons very well and made me progressing every week.  She’s a really good teacher.  Love her!

Deanna was great! Nice, patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable.  I learned basic technique which already has me feeling more comfortable.  I’m looking forward to progressing and confident I’ve made the right choice.

DeAnna has excellent credentials as a pianist and music theorist, but more importantly for me she is a patient teacher and good communicator who works hard to ensure that I learn and understand even the most basic skills and techniques.  She is also fun to talk to and be with, and her love of music is infectious.  She is an excellent teacher for an older student, and I imagine for younger ones too.

Remi my grandson enjoy his piano class very much.  Especially when Remi got home he practice or continue the song he did with his teacher.  like he appreciate himself because it sounds beautiful.   We grandparents are very proud to here a lovely melody he played.  The instructor is very good and patient with Remi, she makes sure she gets through him in her own special way.  Very grateful, Remi’s grandparents.

I started taking lessons from DeAnna about a month ago and I can really feel myself fall in love with learning to play Piano again.  I am looking forward to practice every night and lessons every week with her.  DeAnna is a very patient and encouraging teacher.  I really like that her lessons are structured and she has very specific tasks (that are obtainable) for me to complete every week.  I am really looking forward to taking many more lessons from her!

My daughter started taking piano lessons with DeAnna about a month ago.  She has been really enjoying DeAnna’s lessons and I can already hear that she has improved quite a bit.  DeAnna is warm, caring, and patient.  Her lessons have a good balance of technique and musicality.  She gives very specific practice plans every week that are easy to follow.   We are so glad we found her!

As a complete beginner, I really had no idea how to begin with piano. I’m so glad that I found DeAnna and have her as my piano teacher! She’s really patient, knowledgeable and always makes sure the lesson is well organized.  Before the first lesson, she sent me a list that needs to be prepared before first lesson.  I could feel she must be very experienced at that time, and it turned out to be true in the following lessons! She’s a really good teacher.  Not only her piano teaching skill is perfect, but also she treats her student very kindly and always smiles and encourages me.  I appreciate her a lot, cuz she helps me to keep my learning enthusiasm, which makes me feel I can finally become an amateur pianist! Haha Thank her a lot!

My grandson seems to enjoy it, it’s the first class and I hope he’ll continue the positive behavior I’d seen on him toward his piano.  I appreciate the instructor very much and I believe that Remi will gain something better from his piano.   Grateful, Remi’s grandmother.

DeAnna breaks her teaching down into segments focusing on smaller aspects, such as technique (scales and arpeggios), reading, theory, and repertoire, which I find to be pleasantly approachable in addition to giving me concrete smaller goals to work toward every week.  The pieces I learn for repertoire span many historical styles, including classical, Baroque, and even some modern pieces (which are usually arrangements I’ve found online of songs I enjoy).  Before I started lessons with DeAnna, I had some musical skill but not to the level I wanted. One of those songs I wanted to learn to play had a section so difficult as to seem impossible every time I tried to play it.  With DeAnna’s help, I was able to master that song in 4 months, to the point where I can play it through on a whim, completely memorized.  And even of the songs we haven’t gone over, I’m confident I can handle them on my own, using the approaches DeAnna has taught me.  In addition to her skills as a teacher, DeAnna is quite personable and patient, reasonable in her expectations yet encouraging me to push myself even more, understanding when life interferes with practice, and just all-around fun to work with.   I’m always looking forward to the next lesson!
